SSAA Holster Proficiency
The SSAA Holster Proficiency course provides training and assessment in the safe handling of a Cat H
firearm when drawing from and returning to a holster.
A Holster Proficiency Card will be issued from the SSAA (Qld) Inc. State office.
Cat H rimfire (.22LR) competitors do not draw from a holster. WHO NEEDS IT?
- Category H competitors who compete in SSAA matches that require drawing from a holster
- I recommend all safety-conscious Cat H competitors complete the course. The course contains topics that are not covered in the Cat H Firearms Safety Course
COURSE DETAILS:
- Cost ...................... $20 per action type. i.e. Revolver / Semi-Auto / Single Action
OR - Do more than one action type on the day for a single fee of $20 - Venue .................... SSAA George Range
- Dates.... As requested - Generally on a Saturday morning, prior to the Practical Pistol match (PRAC PSTL/IPSC on Calendar)
- Duration ................. 2-3 hours
- Equipment .............. Student provides:
- Cat H firearm/s
- Holster rig for each action type
- Ammunition - at least 48 rounds per action type
- SSAA Membership card
