NSW Restricted Game Hunting Licence (R-Licence)

If you want to apply for a NSW Restricted Game Hunting Licence, it is important to read about how to become accredited and qualify for the licence before you apply.
The Restricted licence (R-licence) allows you to hunt game and feral animals on public land (NSW) that has been declared for hunting and opened, or on private land with the permission of the landholder.
Before qualifying for an R-licence, you must become a member of an Approved Hunting Organisation (AHO). You must also maintain your membership for your R-licence to remain valid.

Qualifying

There are two requirements that must be met before you can apply for the R-licence. Applicants must: To become accredited, you must complete the Accreditation Course through a Hunter LEAP Provider.

Hunter LEAP (Learning, Education and Accreditation Program)

Hunter LEAP (Learning, Education and Accreditation Program) is the NSW hunter education program administered by the DPI Game Licensing Unit.

SSAA (Qld) Inc. is a Hunter LEAP Provider. (Provider Number: 12650)

Providers nominate Hunter LEAP Trainers who deliver Hunter LEAP training material on behalf of their organisation.
